TRIBUTE TO NESSA

Vanessa was and always will be one of our most iconic clients due to her amazing purple tresses, Vanessa sadly lost a battle to cancer in late 2024, but having been my client for over 15 years we felt we should share her hair with the world one last time.

Vanessa has followed me through three salon changes within my time as a new stylist all the way to my journey of salon ownership at The Quarters back in 2016! When I first started doing Vanessas hair I couldn’t believe my luck, this amazing vibrant lady said “do what you want!” the 4 words every hairdresser wishes to hear! With one small caveat it has to be purple!

Purple, Vanessa’s signature colour, always arriving to the salon in an outfit, one of the many shades of purple she owned.

Not only did Vanessa & I become the closest of friends but she introduced to me to the rest of her family and I became the hairdresser for not only Vanessa but her daughter and two granddaughters!  I even got to cut her sister’s hair when she was over visiting from the USA.

Vanessa was my biggest fan and support, doing her hair for all those years gave me so much joy and I knew it brought joy to her to be able to express herself though her hair.
